Unusually severe flu season in US
This weekend will be important time for football fans, movie buffs and President Barack Obama as well. But as the Sundance Film Festival, the NFL playoffs and the Presidential Inauguration is upcoming, the U.S. is about halfway through this flu season. More than 3,700 people have been hospitalized and at least 20 children have already died from flu-related causes since the flu season officially began. "it's shaping up to be a worse-than-average season" and a bad one for the elderly, Dr. Thomas Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said. The number of older people sickened by the flu has risen dramatically, prompting federal officials to take unusual steps to make more flu medicines available and to urge wider use of them as soon as symptoms appear. Influenza prevention and treatment is an area where there is an urgent need to spend money in order to save money and lives. I think you should share this news with your friends on social networks like Pinterest so they can keep them healthy.
